I’ve been feeding my inner geologist over the past couple months by going emerald mining, gemstone cutting and rock hunting. In fact, last week I bought a Facetron lapidary machine so I can get into cutting my own gemstones and the guy who sold it to me was a real craftsman.
So today, fire up the internet and find out what kind of rocks and gemstones are found in your area. Think of this as a treasure hunt. Can’t do it today? Then plan a trip this summer.

The summer is here and that means one thing, BBQs! Take some time today to grill something special for your friends or family. We just got these sweet marinade & salad dressing combo packs the other day, so I’ll be making Amanda some grilled chicken. Don’t forget the charcoal or propane!
