Today’s Resolution: Recreate a Scene from a Movie

recreate a scene from a movie

Do you have a favorite scene from a movie? What movie is it? What are they doing?

Are they eating in an italian restaurant? Sitting at a kitchen table? Whatever your favorite scene is, have fun and recreate it today by yourself or with some friends.

Today’s Resolution: Ask for Feedback

ASK FOR FEEDBACK

Ask a friend, family member or colleague for feedback about a particular subject. Tell them you’re looking to get better at something and you appreciate their point of view.

Today’s Resolution: Connect with Nature

Connect with Nature

Take hike, sit in the park, or plant a tree. Whatever brings you closer to nature, take some time out today to breathe fresh air and appreciate the upcoming summer (especially if you’ve been inside all winter!)

Today’s Resolution: Resolve an Old Grudge

Take a few minutes today to resolve an old grudge you have with someone. Consider the time that has passed and the energy you’ve spent keeping the grudge alive. Then, let it go and start over.

Today’s Resolution: Boost Your Self Image

Boost Your Self Image

Everyone dislikes something about themself, whether it’s their hair, their nose, their forgetfulness or their general lack of direction. Today, give yourself a pat on the back for being you. Take the first step toward embracing your flaws as the gems that make you unique!

Today’s Resolution: Leave Your Cell Phone At Home

Leave Your Cell Phone At Home

This is crazy! You won’t be able to function without your cell phone!

But honestly, do you need your phone with you today? In the not so distant past, no one carried a cellphone. The business of the world was carried out each day and everything ran smoothly. Today, people are obsessed with their phones. They can’t go 5 minutes without checking to see if they got a new text message or email.

Try your best to ditch the mobile appendage today. If you must carry one, leave it in the car.

Today’s Resolution: Stay Off Facebook

Stay Off The Facebook

Do you spend too much time on Facebook? Considering the completely counter-productive nature of the website, “too much” is a pretty easy flag to obtain. I used to be guilty of this too some days, especially during long waits (that’s why I deleted the app from my phone.)

Today, don’t even think about logging into Facebook.

Don’t worry, the world won’t end. All of your messages and friends’ status updates will be there in the morning. Spend this extra time with your real-life friends, family and children instead!

Today’s Resolution: Strike Up a Conversation with a Stranger

Do the opposite of what your mother told you never to do. Talk to a stranger today! You may be surprised to find out how much you have in common with your new friend.
