Why We Love Vega

You try to eat well. You include vegetables in your diet. But somehow, you just don’t get enough.

We’ve been trying for the past year to eat healthier and it’s been a real struggle for us. In fact, I just fessed up the other day about taking a secret ride to Taco Bell. Fortunately, we did discover something about six months ago at Whole Foods, recommended by a guy in whatever department you buy protein shakes in—Vega, a “whole food health optimizer”. It’s basically a meal replacement shake, but it’s also great for balancing your inner workings too, sort of like a drinkable multi-vitamin.

Why We Love Tim Ferriss’ 4-Hour Body

Look, I’m gonna post an affiliate link here, but you can probably tell from the missing book jacket on the above photo that Tim Ferris’ book The 4-Hour Body truly rocked our socks off.

We’re not health buffs by any means, but the experiments that Tim put himself through to write this book are pretty mind-blowing and those of us with a lack of long-term concentration skills can digest one chapter at a time and in whatever order you want.

We discovered that kettlebells are the hidden gem of fitness equipment, a handful of brazil nuts or almonds might just put you in the mood, and that taking care of your gut can actually relieve depression and anxiety symptoms. Read this book, it’s awesome. We gifted it to everyone this Christmas and last. Buy the book now at 40% off.

Personally, my favorite part is the permission to binge one day a week on the slow-carb diet. His next book, The 4-Hour Chef is crazy-cheap on pre-order too. Can’t wait to get into that one.

Also, the Four Hour Body Site and Tim’s Blog are excellent addendums that you’ll want to check out too. Cool blog posts like How to “Age” Your Wine 5 Years in 20 Seconds are just topics you can’t find anywhere else.
